Alan has had an exciting month of traveling to trade shoes and talking cars on the Shell Pioneering Performance Stage. He shares stories with Chris Duke about the 150 interviews he did at SEMA 2016; there were so many that he was unable to go inside the event. Not to worry though because he got to sit down with some of the leaders of these great companies. Let’s welcome Alan back to the studio.

Is getting airborne in a truck one of those things you want to check off of your bucket list? Well, the Ford F-150 Raptor truck may make your dreams come true (at least if your name is Alan Taylor). This truck is not just an F-150, it’s an epic race machine with a 10-speed transmission and six drive modes. Built with a military-grade aluminum body, this lightweight truck can fly over just about anything you put in front of it. From the suspension to drive train, this truck was built for racing with comfort and performance in mind. Whether it be mud, sand, street, or highway, you can choose the best option for any terrain. Alan and Chris dive into the features of this revolutionary truck.

[00:19:51] Chris Duke Reviews Volkswagen Dune Convertible
Slug bug! The new Volkswagen Beetle Dune Convertible takes the classic heritage Beetle to another level, and opens the door for exploring some new terrain. Chris Duke reviews this dune buggy inspired Beetle which boasts some real get-up-and-go power. The 1.8-L 4-cylinder turbo gives this bug just the edge we we’re looking for. With a push button convertible top you can lower it while driving and a sweet Fender edition sound system, we’re craving a road trip! She is not an “off-road machine”, but still a well-handling vehicle in her own right. Explore more exciting features of the Volkswagen Beetle Dune!

[00:29:30] Aftermarket Upgrades for Late Model Vehicles
Newer cars are filled with so many innovative ideas these days, the need for aftermarket parts is greatly diminished. You can throw down a little bit more money in the beginning and get all the bells and whistles built right in. Chris Duke shares with us some of his recent car reviews and challenges he faces when suggesting upgrades and additions to car enthusiasts. Alan and Chris also discuss the highly-secretive Dodge Demon. It’s believed that this car will be the fastest muscle car yet, outdoing the Hellcat by about 200-HP. Wow! Dodge is teasing us with trailers about the car that is to be revealed in April. Join us for more on the Dodge Demon and the new era of aftermarket additions.

[00:35:52] Rumor Mill: Style Predictions for 2020 Ford Bronco
Ford Motor Company has a historic record of manufacturing best-of-category trucks. Alan recently interviewed, Mark Fields, President and CEO of Ford Motor Company, while at the Scottsdale Barrett-Jackson auction where he was able to gain insights regarding the future release of the re-imagined Ford Bronco. Scheduled to be released in 2020, the Ford Bronco is still a bit of a mystery to truck lovers. After squeezing design hints from Ford’s top brass, Alan makes some styling predictions. If built on the 2019 Ford Ranger global platform, it should be a small, yet mighty truck. We’ll look into Alan’s crystal ball for the future of the 2020 Ford Bronco.
