Peter Moore's Profile
Peter Moore is VP/Editor of Men’s Health, the world’s largest men’s lifestyle magazine brand with 40 international editions in 47 countries and a worldwide readership of 23 million. He is responsible for day-to-day direction of the magazine, serving as a media spokesman, and assigning, editing, and writing feature articles. He is also co-author, with Travis Stork, M.D., of The Lean Belly Prescription, published in December 2010 from Rodale, Inc.
In addition to interviewing President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, Peter has also written major health features for the magazine. Following his own heart-health scare, Peter wrote “A Tale of Three Hearts,” which led off the magazine’s July 2003 feature package on heart health. It garnered the magazine’s first National Magazine Award—the industry’s equivalent of an Oscar.
Peter has made 800+ appearances on television and radio programs, discussing a broad range of health-related issues such as stress reduction, relationships, gear, men’s health issues, and adventure travel. Every year, he also serves as a spokesman for National Men’s Health Week, a national program ratified by Congress to increase health awareness among men. He is a member of an exploratory committee drafting a proposal for a White House Council on Boys and Men.
Peter joined Rodale in 1995. Prior to joining Men’s Health, he served as articles editor for Playboy.
A graduate of Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, Peter lives in Emmaus, Pennsylvania, with his wife and sons.
